I’m in my late 20s. Happily married.
Yes, I do have a day job, beating music into the most awesome group of French horn students ever. I love those kids.
I learned to crochet during June 2006. My husband and I had just moved cross-country and were living in “temporary housing” (e.g. a small, spartan hotel room) for what turned out to be seven weeks. I was bored to tears and looking for both a cheap handcraft, and a way to make some friends.
In November 2006, I decided that there were way too many cool knitting patterns out there, and not enough crochet patterns. Plus, crocheted socks aren’t all that great. So I learned to knit, and haven’t looked back since.
Congratulations on starting a blog!
Those of us in Austin see your work on a regular basis and are always blown away. Now the rest of the world will get to enjoy it too, even though photos just don’t do it justice.
(She’s an awesome knitter, lurkers …. and a wonderful person, too!)
Nicki
Lynn,
I just wanted to drop you a note and say we miss knitting with you on Wednesday evenings at Bluebonnet. Joyce, Judy A and I were talking about not seeing you for a long time and wondered how you were doing. I see you have been busy knitting some beautiful items.
Sending you a smile of love from your friends at Bluebonnet Chicks with sticks,
Dawn
